“The Face By the Gate” directed by the bloke with the hat and the glasses, and starring Cecil B. DeMille as the other bloke with the mustache and the cornrolls, and Phyllis Matthews (or Tilda Swinton, on Thursdays) in the first 16mm (aka 35mm) “film”. Or video.
Filmed in multiple locations in the Whyss Valley or more likely Feresden, contrasted by large-scale original mountainside chalk drawings by ancient pre-civilized groups of pagans, plus Richard Attenborough. Based on the book by that guy with the shoes that didn’t have laces, and who kept falling out whenever he’d break into a run, usually chasing the mad bloke who played Simon in That WonderPuss Trio’s interpretation, of “Something or Other” (probably not the actual name; that’s more likely to be the phrase I use when I can’t think of the real name) and the star of “See You Next Tuesday”. And also, Griselda who plays Newt (Charlie’s, or somebody’s Aunt). They were in smashing form, plus there were some ladies with big knockers hanging out by the cinema lavatories. *****
